El max\u00edmetro se encarga de controlar si dicha instalaci\u00f3n supera la potencia contratada.<\/p>\n<p>La clave en el funcionamiento del max\u00edmetro el\u00e9ctrico es que evita el corte de electricidad si se supera la potencia contratada, al contrario de lo que ocurre con las instalaciones equipadas con un ICP, o interruptor de control de potencia.<\/p>\n<p>Contadores con max\u00edmetro<\/p>\n<p>Todos los\u00a0<strong>medidores de luz digitales<\/strong>\u00a0cuentan con alg\u00fan tipo de dispositivo dirigido a controlar la potencia del suministro. En las instalaciones con tarifas comunes, lo m\u00e1s habitual es que el contador est\u00e9 equipado con un ICP, y solo en las instalaciones con potencias m\u00e1s elevadas cuentan con un max\u00edmetro.<\/p>\n<p>Es habitual encontrar estos dispositivos en instalaciones el\u00e9ctricas que no pueden ver nunca interrumpido su servicio por diversos motivos, como, por ejemplo, los quir\u00f3fanos. Inicialmente, los contadores con max\u00edmetro solo est\u00e1n disponibles para suministros con potencias superiores a 15 kW, pero tambi\u00e9n algunos con potencias inferiores pueden estar equipados con este sistema si se trata de situaciones especiales.<\/p>\n<p>Es posible solicitar la instalaci\u00f3n de un max\u00edmetro en cualquier espacio si se justifica su necesidad. En estos casos, el consumidor deber\u00e1 ponerse en contacto con la comercializadora explicando la situaci\u00f3n. La propia comercializadora har\u00e1 llegar la petici\u00f3n a la distribuidora, y \u00e9sta \u00faltima tomar\u00e1 la decisi\u00f3n en base a las circunstancias. Si la distribuidora autoriza la instalaci\u00f3n, la comercializadora enviar\u00e1 a un t\u00e9cnico capacitado para poner en funcionamiento el max\u00edmetro en el lugar solicitado.<\/p>\n<p>Reducir la potencia contratada<\/p>\n<p>Una vez entendido\u00a0<strong>qu\u00e9 es un max\u00edmetro<\/strong>, es interesante saber que este dispositivo puede servir para conocer la\u00a0<strong>potencia necesaria<\/strong>\u00a0para una determinada instalaci\u00f3n. La mayor\u00eda de las instalaciones tienen contratada una potencia superior a la necesaria, lo que implica un derroche econ\u00f3mico en un servicio que realmente no se utiliza.<\/p>\n<p>El max\u00edmetro realiza una medici\u00f3n cada 15 minutos de la potencia real que una instalaci\u00f3n utiliza. De esta forma, resulta muy sencillo comprobar si la potencia contratada se ajusta a las necesidades o es superior.<\/p>\n<p>Reducir la potencia contratada es una de las mejores formas de ahorrar para los consumidores, y no deber\u00eda suponer ning\u00fan problema para la instalaci\u00f3n siempre que se tengan en cuenta las necesidades las necesidades de energ\u00eda del lugar.<\/p>\n<p>Esto se puede controlar tambi\u00e9n a trav\u00e9s del ICP. Por ejemplo, en una vivienda que nunca han \u2018saltado los plomos\u2019, lo m\u00e1s normal es que la potencia contratada sea excesiva, y reduci\u00e9ndola se puede conseguir un importante ahorro econ\u00f3mico en las facturas de la luz.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es la facturaci\u00f3n por max\u00edmetro?<\/p>\n<p>La\u00a0<strong>facturaci\u00f3n por max\u00edmetro<\/strong>\u00a0difiere en cierta medida de la facturaci\u00f3n general. Puesto que el max\u00edmetro mide la potencia real que consume la instalaci\u00f3n, la comercializadora puede comparar la diferencia entre esa potencia consumida y la potencia contratada, y realizar el cobro teniendo en cuenta ambas cifras.
